Silvio Helbig

Silvio Helbig

Silvio, born in 1967, lives in Berlin. He started his career as a photographer and wanted to tell stories not only with his photos but also with his films. So Silvio studied camera and directing at one of the most renowned German film schools, the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf, where he graduated with honors. For his graduation film, "Transport" Silvio received the German Cinematography Award. The film was shown at the Berlinale and won the US Kodak Cinematographic Award at the Palm Springs Filmfest, USA. 
His experience in multimedia projects which combine film, photography, and the camera is very valuable today. His strength lies in the realization of character-driven films. One of Rocket Film's strengths is to support Silvio in his projects.
